Matchmakers already refer clients to each other — informally, in every industry WhatsApp group, where the thread scrolls away and nobody can say what happened. On Dating Network the introduction is a first-class object: requested, consented to, and recorded. Same instinct to collaborate, made trackable.

A referral in a group chat is a favour with no memory. Who did you ask, did they agree, did the single say yes, what came of it — the answers live in someone's scrollback or nowhere at all. Dating Network gives that same referral a shape: each step is captured, and both matchmakers see the same thread from request to recorded outcome.
Nothing here replaces the relationship between matchmakers. It records what the two of them already do — so a referral is something you can point to later, not something you have to remember.
One request, four tracked steps
The chain the product draws, in order. Contact details are never shared until the single has agreed — that step is enforced, not a courtesy.
Request
You do: ask one or more of your partners — matchmakers you're connected with — to find a match for your single. The single is shared anonymously, by convention, and nothing auto-shares on your behalf.
You get: a request your partners can answer, on the record from the first move.
Proposed candidate
They do: propose a candidate for your single. It arrives under Referrals as a proposed candidate you review — request contact, or pass.
You get: a proposed match to review, without either single's contact details attached.
Consent
The single does: receive an emailed consent link and Accept or Decline — no login required.
You get: contact details revealed only through an accepted, consented referral. No contact detail is exchanged before the single says yes.
Recorded outcome
You do: record the result — Matched, For the future, Not a match, or Didn't connect.
You get: the whole thread tracked on both sides, so the introduction and what came of it live in one place rather than a chat you have to scroll back through.
What each side actually sees
A match proposed, not a contact handed over
A candidate arrives as a card — a match to consider, anonymised by convention, with the contact details held back. You decide whether to take it further before anyone's contact information is on the table.
Requested, consented, introduced, outcome
The introduction moves through its stages where both matchmakers can see it. When the single has consented and the introduction is made, the outcome is recorded against the same thread — not lost to a scrolled-away message.
No contact detail moves without a yes
This is the part that is not a convention. Before any contact information is revealed, the proposed single is emailed a consent link and must Accept or Decline. The referral only proceeds on an accepted consent — the enforcement is in the product, not in the etiquette of a group chat.
A single's contact details are never attached to a referral they have not agreed to, and a matchmaker cannot pull contact information out of one. That is the guarantee the WhatsApp thread can't make.
